Identify plants using your mobile camera and the power of machine learning.
PlantSnap identifies plants from pictures using machine learning. Machine learning is a way of “training” the computer to recognize things based on examples. PlantSnap is trained on millions of images and is able to identify over half a millions species of plants with 94% accuracy.
Simply take a photo of the plant with your phone and it provides the common name, scientific name and description.
An Internet connection is required, but it works with saved images as well so you can identify images captured on the trail as soon as you’re back online.
iOS, Android and web apps available.
