Dutch Oven Cooking by Mike Audleman

Don’t settle for “outdoor food” when you can cook hearty, “normal” meals using Dutch oven techniques. This 53 page, free online cook book starts with descriptions of the key characteristics of Dutch ovens and instructions for how to cook with and care for your oven. The rest of the book is recipes – but what you find might surprise you.

Dutch oven cookbooks are often full of special sorts of meals that you would only cook in a Dutch oven and wouldn’t be common at home. Dutch Oven Cooking is completely different in that it includes things like beef stew, chili, chicken cacciatore and pork chops. Most everything in it seems familiar – all except for the Genuine Australian Camel Stew, but you’ll have to read the cookbook if you want to learn more about that.
